vSphere snapshots can take up a ton of space and can potentially cause you to run out of disk space in your datastores
causing downtime for your virtual infrastructure.
Hal Rottenberg's script from his PowerCLI videos will go out and find old snapshots in your vSphere infrastructure and report on how old they are and how much space they take up in your datastores.
By finding these snapshots early, before they cause trouble, you can delete unneeded snapshots to save space and prevent downtime.
