Not yet, but it seems likely to happen very soon.
With the new release of Windodws Vista and Office 2007, Microsoft expects a lot of upgrades from companies and users that want the latest technology. From now on, all the new products created by Microsoft (including the new Zune music player) will not install on Windows 2000.
In addition, the main support of Windows 2000 ended in June of 2005. The extended support includes critical security patches only and a paid support of Windows 2000 from Microsoft.
The end of support may cause many headaches for companies that have already sunk a lot of money into implementing Windows 2000 but are currently unable to upgrade. The biggest problem they face is the lack of a patch from Microsoft to update Daylight Savings Time on Windows 2000.
Thanks to an act of Congress, we will have different beginning and ending dates for Daylight Savings Time starting in 2007. Read more here: Windows 2000.
