I wish I would have taken Finance/Commerce/Accounting type of course in BS or earlier. Coming from Mathematics/Sciences and then Masters in Computer Sciences- All theory- I wish I knew the Business side of the game well. Technology does enable but it is the business sense that makes the difference. I wish I'd have done an MBA instead MSc Comp Science.
Any thoughts?

The one thing that I wish I knew about when starting my IT Career is how important it is for technical people to understand the business that they are supporting. Technology is one of the most important business enablers and IT Services are the vehicle for delivering technology to the business. I truly believe that a solid understanding of IT Service Management Practices (ITIL) coupled with a clear understanding of business goals and objectives enables the IT Professional to be effective in their job and valuable to their employer.
