IT Job Predictions for 2007
Computer software engineers, analysts, database administrators, programmers, support specialists, systems administrators, and IT managers … are all in for a treat this year. According to US Bureau of Labor statistics, they are projected to be the fastest growing occupations in upcoming years.
It’s all thanks to the impact of computers, new software, and new technologies in our everyday lives. New areas of specialization and constant changes in technology are forcing IT technicians to strive for more education, certifications and expertise. To keep up with all these newly created job roles, companies such as Microsoft, CompTIA, and Cisco have created new certification exams.
Microsoft created MCTS for Vista and MCITP for Consumer Support Technicians; CompTIA now has available RFID+, Convergence+ and DHTI+; Cisco released new and updated versions of CCNP certifications. And this is just the beginning. There are many more certifications to come.
