A few weeks ago I posted about two free upcoming Virtualization events.
The first one, Microsoft’s Virtualization event, was in Chicago this week and I got a chance to go. This was my first IT conference and I have to say I was very impressed. It was a whole day of learning really cool stuff — all on Microsoft’s tab.
Gosia and Dave were there with me, and we all got a chance to see the seminar sessions and participate in the hands-on labs.
Microsoft sent us away with a free t-shirt and a voucher for a virtualization prep course and for the 70-652 exam. Pretty cool.
At Session I — Server Virtualization and Management

Dave and I trying out the Hands-On Labs

In between sessions; Dave watching Train Signal’s Server 2008 Network Infrastructure course on his iPod touch

At Session III — Understanding Virtualization at the Desktop Level

Talking to Symantec reps at the Partner Expo

As I mentioned before, this was a really great learning experience and not at all what I expected my first IT conference to be.
So what did I take away from this event? Let’s take a look …
Take a look at what Dave Lawlor thought about this conference on his personal bog.
There are still 5 more cities that this Virtualization event is coming to:
If you’re interested in learning more about virtualization, I would highly recommend this conference. You can get more information and register for this free event here.
