McAfee conducted a recent study comparing the safety of leading search engines and found that AOL is the safest, while Yahoo! gives the most risky results. Personally, I like the Yahoo! result format and will continue using it. But I will be a bit more cautious about clicking on the link. If you want your search engines to help you avoid dangerous sites, you should use Google, AOL or Ask.com.
