Unfortunately I went in blind and installed all the IIS 7 Role services when I installed the windows server 2008. I played around setting up permissions and tested the connections. Connecting from inside is fine localhost or the internal IP (192.168.1.?). Now connectiing from the outside is a different story. I set up my router to open port 80 in and out to this virtual HTTP server and it seems fine, but I still cannot connect to my External IP. I uninstalled all except the items that you said to keep in your article above and did what you said and I still cannot connect. Do you have any more ideas past your steps for 2008 web server? Thank You

i need help to enable/disable the logging feature for IIS 7 on windows 2008 as it is quite different if compared to centralized logging for IIS 6.

Is this feature enabled by default on win 2008???
